When should you leave for the airport?
The usual advice is to be at the airport two hours before your flight departs. But that does not apply to every situation or every traveller, and how long it takes to reach the airport depends on many things. Once you provide a few details, the planner works out when you should leave home to make your flight.
How do we calculate it?
We work backwards from your flight: boarding, the walk to the gate, security, passport control and bag drop. Then we check how long the journey is expected to take at that time, including the likely traffic, and add the transfer from the car park. What remains is when you should leave for Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport.
What the plan covers
Door to gate: the journey itself, parking and the transfer to the terminal, bag drop and security, passport control where it applies, and a personal margin so the plan does not depend on everything going right. No account, no booking, and nothing kept beyond 30 days.
