Ryanair is adding a new route from Budapest: from summer 2027 the airline will also fly to Leeds Bradford. The route is one of the first 29 new routes of its summer 2027 schedule, which Ryanair announced on 9 October; tickets are already on sale in the airline's app and on its website.
What the announcement says
- The route is part of the summer 2027 schedule. In aviation the summer schedule runs from the last Sunday of March to the last Saturday of October.
- The release does not give the date of the first flight or how many flights a week there will be; booking shows them.
- Leeds Bradford Airport is in West Yorkshire, England, between Leeds and Bradford.
Other new routes in the region
Several of the 29 new routes are in Central Europe. A new route links Bratislava and Chania (Crete), and eight start at Polish airports: Wrocław with Burgas, Catania and Birmingham, Warsaw with Brindisi, Warsaw Modlin with Dubrovnik, Gdańsk with East Midlands and with Stockholm Skavsta, and Kraków with Tangier. From Germany, Friedrichshafen gains Bari and Porto, and Memmingen Seville and Varna. The full list is in Ryanair's release.
What Ryanair says
Dara Brady, Ryanair's chief marketing officer, said these are the first new routes of the summer 2027 schedule and that more will be announced. The airline says it will fly over 2,500 routes to 230 destinations in summer 2027, and advises anyone after the lowest fares to book now, because in its view fares will go up later.
